Research Project:

My project will undertake an evaluation of a newly developed Domestic Abuse links to Suicide Screening Tool working in partnership with the Office of the West Midlands Police and Crime Commissioner. The tool will be piloted by West Midlands Police and a GP practice within the West Midlands. 

The aim of the tool is to assist frontline workers in identifying those at risk of suicidality, creating greater opportunities to access support, reducing the number of suicides following domestic abuse in the long-term. 

The evaluation will be completed through a mixed methods approach, assessing operational data from participating sites and qualitative data from interviews with domestic abuse survivors exploring the overall impact of the DASST.
