Research Project:
My research examines how Specialist Domestic Violence Courts can better serve victim-survivors through trauma-informed practices.
Through interviews with victim-survivors, court-based IDVAs and court personnel, alongside court observations, I explore specialist courts as a site to advance victim-centred justice within the constraints of the adversarial justice system.
The aim is to improve the often re-traumatising court experiences for victim-survivors seeking justice.
